GParted News Item 253

The GParted team is pleased to announce a new stable release of GParted Live.

This release includes GParted 1.6.0, updated packages, and other improvements.

Items of note include:

• xz-utils was reverted back to the 5.4.5-0.2 version
• Based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2024/Apr/08)
• Linux image updated to 6.7.9-2
• grub updated to 2.12-2

Note that the default boot options might fail to display an X Desktop, such as on old NVidia graphic cards. The workaround is to select Other modes of GParted Live and choose GParted Live (Safe graphics setting, vga-normal).
