31 January 2025: GParted Live 1.7.0-1 Stable Release
The GParted team is pleased to announce a new stable release of GParted Live.
This release includes GParted 1.7.0, updated packages, and other improvements.

Dropping i386 kernel packages
The i386 Linux kernel packages were dropped in our upstream, Debian, Sid repo. Hence i686/i686-pae GParted live will be no more in the future. From this release, only amd64 (x86-64) release will be available. - Includes GParted 1.7.0
- Recognise NBDs (Network Block Devices)
- Add support for Bcachefs (experimental), single device file systems only
- Prevent GParted probe starting LVM Volume Groups
- Increase minimum required version of libparted to 3.2
- Three packages added: bcachefs-tools, bcache-tools, util-linux-extra
- Based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2025/Jan/31)
- Linux image updated to 6.12.11-1
- A minimum of 640 MB of RAM is needed to use all the features of the GParted application
