GParted News Item 194

The GParted team is pleased to announce a new stable release of GParted Live.

This release includes GParted 0.24.0 which detects ZFS file systems, recognizes NVMe devices, prevents a hang when labelling fat16/32 file systems if illegal characters in label, and prevents a core dump if invalid or non-existent device paths are passed on the command line.

Items of note include:
  • Based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/Oct/28)
  • Linux kernel updated to 4.2.0-1
  • Fixed vi entry in right-click Editors menu (bug 755602)
  • Added zerofree (bug 753446), efibootmgr (bug 754587), and ddrescue (bug 750240) to live image
This release of GParted Live has been successfully tested on VirtualBox, VMware, BIOS, UEFI, and physical computers with AMD/ATI, NVidia, and Intel graphics.

NOTE: If mouse cursor is not visible when GParted is running, then use the menu key to open a new terminal window. The mouse cursor should be visible again. See also GParted Live Manual - Working with Keyboard Only.
